How Verrim uses AI

Verrim uses automated and AI-assisted technology, including trusted third-party AI providers acting as our subprocessors, to read resale and exemption certificates and label the fields in them — names, addresses, identification numbers, dates, and exemption reasons. Verrim also suggests which customer a certificate belongs to and shows a confidence level for that suggested match. Certificates you upload are not used to train our AI providers’ models.

Verrim also uses AI for Ask Verrim, our in-product help assistant. When you ask a question, its text is sent to our AI providers to generate an answer from our help content, and questions and answers may be cached to improve future responses. Ask Verrim answers product questions only — it does not read your certificates or customer records, and your questions are not used to train our providers’ models.

A person stays in charge

Extraction pre-fills fields and flags anything missing; it does not approve certificates. Every certificate waits for your review, and nothing counts toward your coverage until someone on your team approves it.

This output can contain errors

AI extraction is a tool to save you time, not a guarantee. Always review the results before relying on them.

Not professional advice

Verrim does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Nothing the Service produces is professional advice. For decisions about tax exemptions, compliance, or audits, consult a qualified professional.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for verifying certificate information and for your own compliance decisions and filings.
