What’s new.

Every meaningful update to Verrim, newest first. We ship continuously — here’s the record.

Security

Verification that admits what it doesn’t know

When you save a certificate, Verrim checks the permit number against the state’s own public records — state-verified in Texas and North Carolina, with more states as their sources exist. One state’s public endpoint stopped serving filtered lookups, so those certificates route to manual review with a clear message instead of quietly reporting “not found” — a claim about a state’s records we can’t honestly make when we can’t query them. A weekly automated check now watches each live state source against a known-good public permit, so if a state changes its API again, we hear about it instead of degrading in silence.

Improved

A quieter Verrim

We rebuilt the site’s navigation and stripped the interface back to monochrome — colour now earns its place instead of decorating. The product menu is denser and centred, the bar solidifies as you scroll, and the mobile sheet follows the same rhythm as the desktop menu. We also rewrote the copy across the site to say less and mean more, cut the walls of checkmarks, removed the two-tone headings app-wide, and fixed the keyboard shortcut hint to say Ctrl K as well as ⌘K — it was never Mac-only.

Improved

One clear way to start

Every product page now ends the same way: a single flat-black band, one instruction, and an email field that carries your address into signup so you never type it twice. We also dropped the “no credit card” line everywhere — the pricing page already says what it costs.

Improved

More room on large screens

The workspace now holds a comfortable maximum width instead of stretching forever on a big monitor, and the dashboard’s coverage map sizes to its column so the row lines up cleanly with the activity beside it.

New

A page for every feature

Six new pages, one for each thing Verrim does: collecting certificates, reviewing them, monitoring expirations, asking questions in plain English, the state form library, and the coverage map. Every screenshot on them is the real product, not an illustration — and the coverage map page runs the live map component itself, not a picture of one.

Improved

Easier to find

We built out Verrim’s discovery layer: a live sitemap, structured data for search engines and AI assistants, and a public resale & exemption form library for every state that taxes sales. Ask ChatGPT or Google about exemption certificate software and Verrim is now set up to show up.

Improved

Fits every screen

Rebuilt the entire workspace on one continuous proportional scale. Verrim now looks right from a 13″ laptop to a large external monitor — no cramped tables, no wasted space, no zoomed-in feel.

Security

Compliance hardening

Expanded Data Processing Addendum, upgraded privacy and security disclosures, and every AI feature now running on paid, no-training APIs — your certificate documents are never used to train any model.

Improved

Your coverage map tells the truth

Your coverage map now reflects real customer compliance straight from your own certificate data — exactly where you’re covered, where you have gaps, and where you have no customers yet.

New

Verrim LLC

Verrim is now Verrim LLC, reflected across our Terms, Privacy Policy, and DPA.

Security

Email & privacy

One-click unsubscribe (List-Unsubscribe) and per-organization suppression lists on every outbound email, a dedicated /security page, and self-hosted fonts for a tighter privacy posture.

Improved

Stronger passwords, clearer AI

A 12-character password minimum with a one-tap strong-password generator (NIST-aligned, breach-screened). The certificate review panel now shows exactly what the AI pulled from each document — labeled “Powered by Gemini,” with permit numbers surfaced and a sensible fallback for the buyer name.

Improved

Redesigned Settings

Settings moved into one fast, single-surface overlay — Profile, Billing, Team, Usage, Security, Integrations, Email, and API keys in one place, reachable from anywhere including ⌘K.

New

Ask Verrim, everywhere

One search box across the app and the help center: jump to any page, find any customer or certificate, or just ask a question in plain English and get an answer grounded in your own data and our docs. The coverage map also picked up an edge-lit treatment in both light and dark mode.

Security

Trust foundation

Trusted-device two-factor auth (you’re only asked for a code on a new browser), secure email changes with re-authentication and cooldowns, a detailed activity log, and a complete help-center rewrite so every article matches the shipped product.

New

Team, integrations, and control

Team roles with invite emails and role-based billing; custom sender domains so certificate requests come from your domain; granular notification controls; signed, retried outbound webhooks; and the ⌘K command palette to drive the whole app from the keyboard.

New

Shopify integration

Connect your Shopify store and Verrim automatically flags tax-exempt orders that don’t have a valid certificate on file — with live webhook sync and a full historical backfill.
